Super Blue Moon’ The second monthly Full Moon is known as a Blue Moon. When this occurs at the closest approach to Earth (perigree) this is also known as a Super Moon. This will be the last ‘Super Full Moon’ until September 2024, and because it is so close to Earth, it may appear much brighter than the usual full moon. A Super Blue Moon isn’t actually blue, but the moon shines brighter. The August blue full moon is said to bring about a heightened sense of awareness and intuition. It is a time of increased emotional energy, making it an ideal time for healing, meditation and spiritual practices.
